Training Course : Working with the Gestalt Process
This course will be run on one Saturday per month, from October 2010 through to May 2011, and will start with a two-day workshop on September 2010. It will provide a unique opportunity to experience and to begin to put into practice the creative Gestalt approach developed by the Kaplans of Israel and Vincent Humphreys, Dublin. The course highlights the importance of the therapist’s own process and the relationship between the therapist and the client, in addition to the traditional Gestalt concepts. There will be a strong focus on working in the here and now, the quality of contact in therapy, and on the interactive process of support. It is a postgraduate course which will be of interest to those in the helping professions e.g. counsellors and psychotherapists, social workers and psychologists. The course will be organised to meet the needs of those who have no previous experience of Gestalt as well as those who wish to build on their previous experience of using this method.
The Course will be held in 66 Lower Leeson St. Dublin 2. It starts with a weekend in October and is followed by one Saturday monthly from October to May.

Judy and Claire have a background in social work, and have been trained by the Kaplans of Israel and Vincent Humphreys in the Dublin Institute of Gestalt Therapy.
