Sandra has a Post Graduate Diploma in Gestalt Psychotherapy and is a Gestalt psychotherapist in practice in the Dublin Gestalt Centre. Sandra has a background in personal and community development with over 20 years’ experience of developing personal and community development programmes for individuals, groups and organisations across the community, voluntary and statutory sectors. She completed her training in Gestalt Psychotherapy with the Irish Gestalt Centre, she also has a Masters in Equality Studies from University College Dublin and is an experienced Lifecoach and group facilitator. Apart from her private practice Sandra works part time coordinating locally based HSE funded services for individuals and families affected by substance misuse in the South Dublin area.

Sandra works from a humanistic and integrative approach, she has a deep belief in each person’s potential for growth and in their capacity to respond to change and find meaning and direction in their lives. In her work as a therapist she emphasises the importance of the therapeutic relationship, providing a supportive and safe environment for the exploration and development of deeper personal wholeness and integration through awareness in the ‘here and now’. She has experience of working with people with a range of psychological and emotional issues including stress, anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, problematic relationships, recovery from addiction, bereavement, loss and life transitions. Sandra offers both short and long term psychotherapy sessions based on the needs of the client.
