She has also spent time working within the Field of Assisted Fertility in units such as the Sims IVF and Beacon Care Fertility, Dublin and Fertility and Fetal Health, Galway.

Counselling and Psychotherapeutic Approach

Anne works as a Humanistic and Integrative practitioner, holding the core conditions of empathy, congruence and unconditional positive regard at the core of the therapeutic relationship.

As a Gestalt practitioner, Anne believes that we, as ‘the whole’, are ‘greater than the sum of our parts’ and that we, in our limitless potentiality, are in a constant state of flux in our process of becoming or ‘Selfing’.

She works relationally and dialogically in her aim to attempt to ‘meet the other where they are at, and to model a way of listening for them, which facilitates their hearing of themselves on a physical, psychological, emotional and spiritual level’.

Anne aims to facilitate a therapeutic space which supports a ‘self-quietening’ and a ‘non-efforting’ exploration of the process by which we meet and contact the other.

Through the therapeutic relationship she aims to promote awareness of any creative adjustments (ways of being) which have become fixed or stuck, no longer serving us, and to meet them with the experience of difference, offering the possibility for change.
Counselling Experience and Areas of Interest.

Anne supports clients experiencing a wide range of issues from anxiety, depression, grief & loss, trauma, sexual issues, body dysmorphia, disordered eating and addiction issues to name but a few.

During her time working with Sims IVF clinic in Dublin she has developed an expertise for working with couples experiencing fertility issues, both as a therapist and as an acupuncturist.

Her many years of supporting families suffering the loss of a child and/or the loss of dreams and hopes for their child has afforded her a deep understanding of, and expertise in working with of the processes of trauma and grief.

She is currently embarked on the Masters programme in Gestalt Psychotherapy for which she plans to further explore how our fear of death and loss impacts on our capacity to live from a place of integration and wholeness in the here and now.
