Therese graduated as a psychotherapist in Loyola University Chicago, USA in 2001, she returned to Ireland where she set up a small private practice . She started offering human development workshops to young adult groups at the same time. Since 2003 she has worked full time as a psychotherapist in various organisations and in private practice. Her work in CCST (Centre for the Care of survivors of Torture) enhanced her training and experience in the area of trauma.

Listening and acceptance are always the basis of her work. Her psychotherapeutic style is determined by what the person needs support with. The person may want to deal with a specific issue like grief, loss, work or relationship stress, anxiety, depression or trauma. S/he might be aware that something in her/his life now is connected to past experience and is ready to approach it.
